Seller, auction & arrival policies
Seller applications
Selling is not open yet. When applications open, sellers will provide accurate contact/application information and an ID image for limited manual review. An upload alone is not approval. A reviewer must explicitly approve the application. A static image does not establish liveness and cannot reliably detect every forgery. Identity-reviewed wording describes the checks performed and is not a guarantee.
Clear livestock listings
Listings must identify species/variety, lot quantity, size and sex where known, origin where known, and exact-item versus representative photography. State shipping service, dispatch days, packaging and shipping charges, destination exclusions, weather holds and any pickup terms before bidding. Do not ship into a prohibited destination or pressure unsafe-weather dispatch.
Arrival and return terms
Every livestock listing must state a reasonable arrival-claim deadline, evidence requirements and seller remedy, including whether original or replacement shipping is included. Equipment listings state condition and return terms. Buyers should preserve reasonable evidence and promptly contact the seller under the disclosed terms. Mandatory rights still apply. TankBids does not fund seller remedies or decide an external provider’s chargeback/refund process.
Auction rules
The implemented auction model uses public ascending bids with no hidden proxy bidding. Each accepted amount must meet the displayed minimum. Server time determines acceptance; countdowns are informational. A qualifying bid within the final 120 seconds moves the deadline to 120 seconds after that bid, with further bids able to extend it again. Highest valid bid at close wins. No bids means no sale. Self-bidding and shill bidding are prohibited.
Buy Now and commitments
Buy Now uses a review-and-confirm commitment with the item price and shipping disclosed. No card is charged by TankBids. Use the private transaction workspace to arrange payment directly with the seller. No automatic second-chance award or undisclosed charge is permitted. Material listing terms may not be changed silently after bids or commitments.
Restricted products and destinations
Category names do not establish legality. Unlawful wildlife trade, protected or prohibited species, unlawful imports, counterfeit goods and unauthorized regulated products are prohibited. Federal, state and destination rules can differ. Livestock selling remains closed until launch species/destination controls are reviewed and enforceable. International selling and shipping are outside the initial scope. Never release aquarium animals or plants into natural waterways.
