Aquarium plants, with fewer unanswered questions.

Clear plant listings help buyers compare species, portion size, cultivation method and shipping expectations—not just a beautiful photo.

Know what portion you are buying

A listing should state whether the offer is a stem count, bunch, pot, tissue-culture cup, rhizome, mat or measured portion. Confirm whether the image shows the exact portion or a mature example.

Ask about cultivation and pests

Submerged, emersed and tissue-cultured plants can look different after planting. Ask about snails, algae, duckweed, pesticides, copper and other treatments when those factors matter to your aquarium or invertebrates.

Match the plant to the aquarium

Research light, carbon dioxide, nutrient, temperature and placement needs. “Easy” is relative to the aquarium. A healthy plant can still fail when the environment is not suitable.

Common questions

Are all plants snail-free?

No. Only rely on a seller’s explicit disclosure, and quarantine or clean plants using a method appropriate to the species and your aquarium.

Does TankBids guarantee plant arrival?

No. Read the individual seller’s arrival terms before committing.
